About Me & My Stupid-Cute Ideas

Hi, I’m Courtney — the heart, hands, and wild imagination behind Creative Wood-N-Things.

If we haven’t met yet — hey friend!
I’m a stay-at-home, homeschool mom of three, living way up here in northern Minnesota, fueled by coffee, creativity, and the deep belief that life is better when you’re making something cute.

Years ago, I ran a storefront in Idaho called Creative Wood-N-Things. I started in a tiny town in Wyoming before moving to Idaho and opening my very own store front, I built signs, sold laser crafts, and discovered something magical… people LOVE decorating their homes with meaning. But what truly took off — what people couldn’t stop talking about — were my magnetic interchangeable banners. They were fun, customizable, and honestly? Kind of addicting.

Then life happened — babies, moves, seasons changing — and the banners got packed away.

Until now.

Something inside me woke back up. That spark. That excitement. That creative “let’s-make-something-stupid-cute” energy. And when it came back, it came back BIG.

I redesigned everything — the tags, the letters, the shapes, the trinkets, the overlays — all in my little kitchen studio while the kids do school at the table. My imagination runs wild designing every interchangeable, bringing it to life, piece by from scratch, cut each one on my laser, and pour my heart into making them stupid cute (my official brand standard ✨).

If you can imagine, I was pulling each one of my designs out of the laser, just beaming ear to ear, throwing my hands up in the air saying, "this is STUPID how cute they are". Filled with so much excitement I wanted to burst, "these should be illegal". Then began my stupid-cute phrase. It all had to fit within my very own stupid-cute parameters. AND... it has, every. single. piece.

And now I get to share them with YOU.
